Book a St Paul’s Cathedral tour with a private London guide

Take a St Paul’s Cathedral tour to see the stunning baroque masterpiece of architect Sir Christopher Wren. Completed in only 35 years in 1710 during the reign of Queen Anne.  The burial place of military heroes such as the Duke of Wellington and Admiral Nelson. We can also find painters and musicians such as JMW Turner and Joshua Reynolds. See the site of a royal wedding that took place here in 1987.

St Pauls Cathedral tour

A St Paul’s Cathedral tour can also include outside sites including the steps where Queen Victoria came here to give thanks on the occasion of her Diamond Jubilee in 1897. And it was on these steps that we remember the song from Mary Poppins ‘feed the birds for tuppence a bag’. Part of the interior has also been used as a movie location in Harry Potter and the exteriors featured in an episode of Doctor Who.

The church is the work of the architect Christopher Wren. The 365′ high dome gives us remarkable views over London. Today the interior of the cathedral changes regularly as it hosts a changing display of contemporary sculpture and paintings. There is plenty to wonder at inside and outside this stunning building.

The Cathedral is well situated to combine this visit with another nearby site. Perhaps a visit to Tate Modern gallery or the Museum of London.

This is a working church with a fascinating history and stunning interiors. Check St Paul’s Cathedral or email me for more information on opening hours and entrance fees.

We toured the main London sites with Nicola for half a day, and she customized it to what my teenage girl scouts wanted to see. There were 11 of us total, and Nicola was very patient and kept us engaged and excited. She was wonderful! Highly recommend a tour with this amazing lady!
